Purandar Fort.
After passing by there is a Kedareshwar Temple and the Bini Darwaja. There is also a Rameshwar Temple which is on the other side of the Purandareshwar Temple, it was constructed by the Peshwas. There is a statue of Murarbaji Deshpande was built in 1970. At the right side we can see the Purandar Machi. On the route opposite to Purandar machi there is a 'Bhairav Khinda' we can see the statue of 'Shivaji Maharaj'. Shendrya Lake is also situated on the fort which is behind the Padmavati Lake.

Places to visit on the Purandar Fort.

There is a Lord Mahadev's Temple called as Purandareshwar temple was built in the architecture in the Hemadic style.Senior Bajarao was in the leading role of reconstructing the temple. The temple of Lord Indra is about 1.5 feet in height. At the north side there is a Delhi Darwaja which is in the good condition. On the way there is a Goddess Laxmi temple.

At the same route itself there are some water cisterns.There are two statues if Lions on the fort. There is a huge rock which is nothing but a Khandakada and at the end of the Khandakada there is a bastion. On the fort itself there are some storage rooms of food grains. After passing the storage room we can see the Kedar Darwaja which is not in the good condition but its importance is more with reference to it.

Way from Pune to Purandar Fort.
From Saswad there are S.T buses are available from Saswad to Bhor which will take you to the ghat of Purandar Matha which is in the Narayanpur village. There is a road on the left side which goes straight to Bini Darwaja.

Way from Mumbai to Purandar Fort
From Pune there are S.T buses available from Pune to Saswad which takes us to the Purandar fort. There are also buses available to Narayanpur from Hadapsar firstly reach Hadapsar from Pune and then from there Narayanpur.

Balaji Temple.
Near Narayanpur village is the Balaji Temple which is also called as Prati Balaji. It is the Tirupati Temple the laadoo of that temple is very famous.

Jejuri Temple
This temple is an ancient which is dedicated to the god Khandoba which is worshiped by many of the villagers an ancient tribe which is called as "Dhangars" worship this god as the god of Jejuri. Every year lakhs of people come here to worship god 'Khandoba'. It is devotional place well known all over Maharashtra and also in India.

Mastani Lake
The lake is also called as Wadki Talab this fort was named as 'Mastani' because Bajirao Peshwa and Mastani, a court dancer were in love and affection to each other.Hence he named it as 'Mastani Lake'. The lake was constructed by the Bajirao Peshwa who passed in 1740.The lake was under construction even after he passed away. Lake can be easily spotted on the way from dive ghat.

Sangameshwar Temple.
This temples 'Shivlinga' was said to have been originally installed by Sage Changadeva (12th/13th cen AD). Jeernoddhar of temple by Sardar Ambuji Purandare in 1700 AD.
