History Of Achala Fort
Achala fort was built in very less area hence this fort does not have much fortification hence we can say that the fort was used as a watch tower it has a few water cisterns and a temple which takes around 30 mins to see the whole fort. There are two water caves on the fort from which one is filled with water and other one is not.
There is also a stone which is a hero stone painted in shenduri (Mostly orange coloured for holy substance).It is around 7 feet which makes it longest and biggest stone. Achala fort has also another base village which is Pimpriwadi or "Dagad Pimpri". Trekkers plan both Achala and Ahivant in a single trek and a long trek includes Saptashringi, Markandya, Rawlya-Jawlya and Dhodap in the same range.

Rawlya-Jawlya
Rawlya-Jawlya is hard level forts situated near the Mulane village in Nashik district with a height 3600 ft from above the sea level from which the Rawlya is the hardest it requires rope to climb the forts are on the mountain top cap near Babapur village there is a ridge which connects Markandya on the west and Rawlya-Jawlya on the east. Comparing Rawlya the route starts near the houses which is very hard to find it is good to take the assistance from the local villagers.The toughest part of the fort is to climb the chimney which requires rope to reach the fort Rawlya once reached the top of the fort there are only remnants and Cisterns on the top which are dried. On the other hand Jawlya is comparatively less hard than Rawlya the route to reach the fort can be easily seen and rock cut steps are available to reach fort.Rock cut caves can be seen while reaching the top and this steps lead to the entrance of the fort as we enter the fort we can see some caves and cisterns there. On the other side there are also rock-cut water cisterns they do not have potable water. We can see good scene from this forts mostly from Jawlya we can see Dhodap, Ikhara, Kanhergad, Kanchna and Indrai.The forts have accommodations available near the "Tiwari" community stays. Tents can also be option as it is a plateau it will take a night stay to see both the forts. Water is recommended to carry no water is available on the forts avoid monsoons to visit the forts. You can plan Rawlya-Jawlya with Markandya fort if you have your private vehicle.
Dhodap fort
Dhodap fort is medium grade trek which is at a height of 4750 ft above the sea level situated 42 kms from Nashik and 3 kms from Hatti village. The construction of the fort was completed with dressed stone and brickwork on the top there are tank with the idol of lord Hanuman and tunnel 5m wide. Shembi is a pointed cliff on the fort.
Caves are at the base of the fort. The most important place and adventurous place on the fort is the fearsome cliff named 'IKhara' ideal for rock climbing. History of the fort states that it was an important fort in the Peshwa period.
Madhavrao Peshwa was plotted to kill by the Raghobadada Peshwa. Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited this fort to keep the treasure and later the battle of Dindori took place.
A myth states that there is a Cow made out of stone inside the hill peoples say that the Cow moves by the distance of 4 grains on every "Vasubaras".
