Samrajgad fort is a hill fort which is situated in Ekdara village of Murud Taluka of Raigad District. Samrajgad is Easy to trek. The height of Samrajgad is only 541 feet i.e. 165 meters above sea level.

"Samrajgad" which is also known as 'Danda-Rajapuri' is located on the hill, south-west of the beach of Murud town and is close to the well-known fort of Janjira. It was constructed by Shivaji Maharaj to watch the area of Janjira.Samrajgad was used to held the attacks in area of Janjira.
Janjira was under the control of Siddi’s. Shivaji Maharaj sent Vyankoji Datto to construct this fort. As Samrajgad is very near to Janjira, Vyankoji was given a group of Maratha fighters for the protection of the fort.

Vyankoji battled with Siddi's guards and caught the surrounding districts of Danda-Rajapuri. Around 300 guards were killed in this fight. With the development of Samrajgad, the right to improve the entrance to Murud the entrance was broken off for the Siddi’s.
To move these irons over his exchanged ways, Siddi’s attacked Samrajgad. They tried an attack on the fort by binds guns to palm trees, yet the trees fallen and the attack failed out. After this disappointment, Siddi’s arranged the following attack carefully. 

Shivaji Maharaj had left Raigad for the success of Janjira. Siddi’s needed to catch Samrajgad before that. The second attack was driven by Siddi Khairat and Siddi Kasim.
On 11th February 1671, under the meal of a cloudy night, Siddi Khairat attacked from the area side of the fort with 500 Habshi troopers.It was the celebration of Holi on that day and Maratha troopers were in bubbly disposition.

Despite everything they figured out how to counter-attack and battled Siddi Khairat well. Then, Siddi Kasim had reached close to the fort from the ocean in supports.

The wall is straightforward, constructed by setting remarkable stones without any coupling material.There are no different shelters on the fort. One can see Janjira on the south and Padmadurg on the west from the fort.

Murud-Janjira is the name for a fort located on an island just off the town of Murud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It was involved by the Siddi’s and is celebrated for being the main fort along India's Western coast that stayed unbeatable regardless of Dutch, Maratha and English East India Company attacks.

Murud-Janjira Fort is an oval-formed shake off the Arabian Sea close to the town of Murud, 165 km (103 miles) south of Mumbai. Janjira is one of the strongest marine forts in India. The fort is reached by boats from Rajapuri jetty.

The primary entrance of the fort meets Rajapuri on the beach and can be seen just when one is near to it. It has a little western entrance towards the natural ocean for Gateway.

Kasa Fort 

Padmadurg (पद्मदुर्ग) also called Kasa fort, is a fort in Maharashtra, India. It was biuld by the Maratha ruler King Shivaji to the northwest of the fort Janjira.It was located basically to the fort Janjira. The important piece of fort is still in great condition.

The sea fort of Padmadurg is not as large as Janjira yet at the same time the fort can be seen along with Janjira. The fort was a part of Sindhudurg's protections as well as Shivaji Maharaj's important boat development plot. 

There is a decent view of the fort from Janjira. There was a group of area from Dandi beach to Padmadurg yet it runaway under the water in 2004.
