On all the sides of the fort, the table land was surrounded by the village of Beldarwadi. On Mahipatgad fort there were six gates on the north side, the Kotval gate which was formed by the two battlements on every side joined with the ramparts, whereas the Red gate and Lal Devdi which is on the North-east side, the Pusati gate on the east side.
which is forely entered by a ladder, the Yeshwant Gate and the thirty feet high battlement on the south - east side, the Khed Gate on the south side through which the garrison used to receive the supplies and the Shivganga gate on the west side. After entering the Khed Gate on the south side there was a foundation of the temple of Ganpati and Maruti but the walls of the temple are half broken.
There was a stone house which is around 45 feet long and 54 feet broad, also a Pareshwar temple and a strong building about 20 feet long. There are two ponds near the temple. In the year 1960, the Christians had inhabited the area of the fort and built a number of Christian tombs.
