History of Narayangad



Around 3 miles east of the town Narayangoan on a divided hill which is to the north, south, and west rises sharp from the plain is the destroyed fort. Narayangad is a hill fort close Pune, placed 80 kilometers from Pune, 8 kilometers from Narayangaon and 5 kilometers from Khodad town
Close Narayangad is a small town named Gadachiwadi. The fort is from the Satvahan Era and was utilized as a watch tower for the Junnar Paithan course.

Over the fort there are small Waterponds named Narayantake, and Chambar Take. At the most notable purpose of the fort there is a temple of the Goddess "Hastamata" and below it there is a temple of "Mukaai"
