Harihargad's name was based on the original name Harshgad. The shape of the fort is a triangular massif with vertical walls and edges. On the fort there are water tanks, couple of caves, a storage house, a pond and a temple.
On the fort, there is a small temple of lord hanuman and lord Shiva. In front of the temple, there is a small pond. That water is used for drinking. Going further there is a palace in which around 12 people can accommodate.
