Kanhergad Fort lie in the mountain ranges of Sahyadri which lies in the fort range of Ajanta Satmaal is about 3582 ft. high above the sea. On the fort, we can see a rock-cut bastion which has a hole in the rock it is called "Nedhe" by the local people. There are around 6 to 7 water cisterns on the fort, a Shiv Linga, a rock cut cave which is facing Dhodap fort and also the remnants of old mansions. From the top of Kanhergad, we can see the forts of Markanday, Saptashrungi, Rawlya-Jawlya, Dhodap, Kanchna, and Handya.

Saptashrungi

Saptashrungi is situated around 60 kms from Nashik in Nanduri village. Large numbers of Devotees visit here every day. The Saptashrungi temple is popularly known as one of the "three and a half Shakti Peethas" of Maharashtra. The height of the peak is about 4500 ft. high.

There are many ways to reach the temple, the first way is from Nashik via Dhindori is around 39 kms, the second way is from Pimpalgaon Baswant is around 51 kms and the third and the easiest way is from Nandurgaon village which is only 14 kms from Vani.

Rawlya - Jawlya forts

The fort of Rawlya-Jawlya is located near Mulane village. These two forts are the twin forts. But to climb Rawlya fort the rope is necessary. On the fort, there are some caves and rock-cut cisterns.
