The Sultan had gotten a protest from his partner in Gujarat and needed to punish him. He contributed to the fort which was surrendered by its representative Buna Naik after some safety. He was gotten well by the Sultan.
The troops of Bahadur Gilani were given the option of either joining his armed force or leaving the fort. It is said that almost 2,000 rangers left the fort and joined Bahadur Gilani. Those who wanted to enter the Sultan's administration were acknowledged and paid suitably.
The entrance door of the fort was an enormous entrance around 30 feet (9.1 meters) high however it has been broken up lately.
The force of the Bahamani rulers wound down affected by powerful ordinary governors. In 1490, the tenet of Miraj went to the Sultanate of Bijapur. During the later years of his rule, Ibrahim Ali Shah I (1534–1558) kept his child, Ali Adil Shah I (1558–1580), under house capture in Miraj.
On Ibrahim's death in 1580, Miraj turned into a point d' appui (a get-together point) for Ali's troops in his accepting the throne. Hence, the troops of Miraj battled with Ismail against Ibrahim Adil Sah III.
By the mid-1640s the Muslim Bijapur sultanate was draining. Shivaji, the author of the Maratha Empire, was developing in force.
He went to fight against the Bijapuris and the Mughals. On 28 November 1659, (within 18 days of Afzal Khan's, the Bijapuri Sardar's, demise at Pratapgad, Panhala), the western Adil Sahi area was surrendered to Annaji Datto (Shivaji's finance minister).

In January 1660, Shivaji landed and by summon the three-month-long progressing attack. In any case, news of attacks by Siddi Johar and Fazal Khan created his come back to Panhala.
